A wonderfully detailed, hand carved shell cameo depicting the painting by the Italian High Renaissance artist Raphael "St. Michael Vanquishing Satan". Mounted in an ornate 9k gold halo mount, with chased gold ribbons at each compass point. The carving, in high relief, is exceptionally well executed.
